How to read SCEBLAN
Sun part numbers are the model followed by one code per option. Hyphens, slashes and spaces are only dividers, so SCEBLAN, SCEB-LAN, SCEB LAN are the same part.
| Model | SCEB — Sun Hydraulics Atmospherically referenced, direct-acting sequence valve with reverse flow check |
|---|---|
| Control | L — Standard Screw Adjustment |
| Adjustment Range | A — 500 - 3000 psi (35 - 210 bar), 1000 psi (70 bar) Standard Setting |
| Seal Material | N — Buna-N |
| Material / coating | Add /AP (stainless steel, passivated) or /LH (mild steel, zinc-nickel) to the end; no suffix is the standard finish. |

Technical features
- Suitable for use in load holding applications.
- Atmospherically referenced valves should only be used where it is impossible have a drain connection. Over time, the atmospherically referenced valves may leak externally or allow moisture into the spring chamber.
- Approximately 1 drop (0,07 cc) of fluid will pass into the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.

Frequently asked questions
Is SCEBLAN the same as SCEB-LAN?
Yes. Sun Hydraulics writes this part number as SCEBLAN. It is the model SCEB followed by the configuration code; hyphens, slashes and spaces are only dividers, so SCEBLAN, SCEB-LAN, SCEB LAN all refer to the same product.
Do you supply SCEBLAN in the UAE, GCC and India?
Yes. MultiFlow supplies genuine Sun Hydraulics cartridges, including SCEBLAN, to customers in the UAE, the wider GCC and India. Use Add to Enquiry on this page for availability, lead time and a quotation.
Can I get the datasheet and CAD files?
Yes. The datasheet, technical reference sheets and CAD files (DXF, DWG, STP) are listed in the Downloads section of this page.
What does Sun mean by the term sequencing?
A sequence valve opens when the pressure at port 1 exceeds the setting of the valve. When pressures at port 1 and port 2 both exceed the setting of the valve the valve goes full open, or sequences. When this happens flow can go in either direction, just so long as port 1 stays above the setting.
What are the tolerances on pressure settings for Sun's pressure control valves?
Pressure setting tolerances are listed in our Performance Data page. A link to this page can also be found in the Additional Resources tab of the applicable product page.
How big is a drop of hydraulic oil?
There are exactly 250 Sun drops in a cubic inch or 15 in a cc.
What parts of the Sun cartridge valve are field serviceable?
Only external seals are serviceable. Sun offers replacement seal kits for all cartridge models. The applicable kit part number can be found in the product page's Technical Data table or by using our Cartridge Seal Kit search function located under Accessories. Please note: Converting the external seals from one material to another does not ensure fluid compatibility with that material due to the existence of internal seals within the cartridge.
